Testimonials
"Of all the things that I have been affiliated with in recent times, this is really a first rate program and really is one of the best"

Todd Rothenhaus MD, CMIO, athenahealth
"Thanks for a very rich conference. I was glad to connect with thought leaders in health care IT from provider organizations, IT companies, pharma and health plans. For me, this conference is valuable because I get to hear new ideas from a handful of leaders from different sectors who are driving innovation in healthcare IT. Thanks again for a very powerful conference."

Mission:

Become an influential and knowledgeable “think tank” group in the healthcare industry, providing insights about and establishing best practices/guidelines for patient engagement through thoughtful analysis and research.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Patient Engagement Action Group is to lead the industry and other key stakeholders in solving challenges and identifying opportunities related to patient engagement in healthcare. Working with providers and other healthcare leaders from a range of backgrounds and experiences, as well as technologists and researchers, the Patient Engagement Action Group will be focused on defining patient engagement, identifying key trends, analyzing outcomes data, and understanding the impact that patient engagement is having on the delivery of care.  Then, the group will provide insights and recommendations in a variety of formats for industry consideration.

Action Group Goals:

The goal of the Patient Engagement Action Group is to provide information resources that will assist industry players in understanding how increased patient engagement will affect the continuum of care. The group will provide in-depth analysis of a fragmented market in a relatively early phase of its development, which increases the challenge of properly and effectively utilizing patient engagement strategies to improve quality of care.

Serving as a resource to care providers and supporting groups responsible for the delivery of care, iHT2 Action Groups provide resources and tools such as reports, white papers, news articles, and other items of interest on topics across the healthcare industry. These resources and tools can include an analysis of patient engagement trends, best practices, recommendations, guidelines and surveys focusing on patient engagement.

The Patient Engagement Action Group is comprised of individuals originating from care provider, vendor, IT executive, academic, legal, and/or advocacy background. This diverse group is well versed in patient centered care, information technology and the healthcare landscape.
